According to China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), as of December 2021, 34 Chinese steel enterprises with total capacity of 225 million tons have completed announcement of ultra-low emission transformation.

          Among them, 23 companies have completed the whole process of transformation, with a steel production capacity of about 141 million tons; 11 companies have completed part of the ultra-low emission transformation and announced the progress of evaluation and monitoring, with a steel production capacity of about 84 million tons.
